Stamford man sentenced to 9 years in 2022 fatal drunk driving crash in Norwalk

A Stamford man was sentenced to nine years in prison for a deadly drunk driving crash in 2022.

Erles Aguilera pleaded guilty to manslaughter, assault with a motor vehicle, reckless driving and driving under the influence.

Aguilera's friend, 19-year-old Oscar Valdovinos, of Norwalk, was killed in the accident and two other people were hurt.

His arrest warrant stated his top speed during the crash was 113 mph before crashing his truck and his blood alcohol content was 0.15, nearly twice the legal limit.
