Stamford Mayor David Marin has created a COVID-19 task force to crack down on violating businesses across the city.
Earlier this week, the city closed two restaurants for multiple violations, including serving alcohol without food.
Martin held a virtual meeting yesterday to update residents about the state of the city.
Martin says as cases continue to increase throughout the city, it's more important than ever for residents to get tested, and re-double their efforts to follow COVID-19 protocols.
The mayor says the city is hiring more inspectors to make sure everyone is following the rules.
Connecticut has been rolled back to a Phase 2.1 reopening due to the increase in coronavirus cases.
