Stamford Mayor David Martin was tested for COVID-19 at a testing facility in the city Monday.
"It's important to get these tests, even if you're not showing symptoms; it's important to get these tests," Martin says.
Martin was tested at the Community Health Center on 5th Street in Stamford where testing is available for free.
The center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Officials say anyone can receive a test, and no insurance is needed or signs of symptoms.
Results take about two to three business days.
