Stamford officials on Tuesday approved $100,000 to fix a mold problem at police headquarters.
Hundreds of employees at the Stamford Police Department have complained about mold in the building over the past few years.
Sources say the station's Youth Bureau has been evacuated since Nov. 14 because of the mold. As a result, 15 officers have been working out of a closet down the hall, according to the police union.
Stamford Mayor David Martin says the mold should be gone in two weeks.
The city has already announced plans to replace the police department's headquarters in the next few years.
