A Stamford teen accused of 10 burglaries may have used the proceeds to pay for some new tattoos, according to city police.
Chance Perrone allegedly stole almost $9,000 worth of electronics alone from the Little Monkey Cafe, a family-owned ice cream shop on Glenbrook Road.
Surveillance video helped connect Perrone to the thefts, police said, after they found him semi-conscious and bleeding Thursday.
He was hospitalized after that assault, released and then arrested on burglary and larceny charges.
"He said he had some issues," says Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department. "He didn't really elaborate, but we noticed he was sporting some new tattoos, with his newfound income."
Investigators say Perrone is also wanted in Norwalk for burglary. He's being held on $300,000 bond.
