Stamford police say a man who barricaded himself on Saturday was released from jail on several conditions. 

Police say Stephen Gale must undergo a mental health evaluation, surrender all weapons and obey a protective order. 

Gale barricaded himself in his home on High Ridge Road, police, tactical and negotiating teams responded to the incident for over seven hours. 

Police arrested Gale with charges of reckless burning, threatening and disorderly conduct.
