State officials have ruled the death of a man shot by Stamford police a suicide.
The state medical examiner says Dylan Pape died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen and are calling it a suicide. But, the medical examiner has not explained how investigators made that ruling.
Police say the SWAT team was called to Pape's house on Wedgemere Road Monday night after getting a 911 call that Pape had a gun and was threatening harm.
They say intense negotiations with Pape lasted for an hour, but in the end, two officers shot and killed him.
Troopers have not yet released the name of the officers who they say shot Pape.
