Stamford police have released surveillance video of one suspect who they say burglarized several cars at The Verano apartment complex early Friday morning.
Police say that vehicle windows were smashed in some cases, but the suspect usually targeted unlocked cars.
Authorities say they believe that there are multiple suspects behind the break-ins because cars are being burglarized all over the city. Targeted areas include Summer and Aberdeen streets, as well as residential areas on the north side of Stamford.
Detectives say there have been nearly 100 car burglaries within the last month. They usually see about 20 car burglaries a month.
Police say they will be adding more patrols to neighborhoods that have been repeatedly targeted.
