Stamford police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving a mother and her daughter. Authorities say the bodies were found this afternoon at 1214 Long Ridge Road. They say it appears a woman, who served as the home's caretaker, shot her mother before turning the gun on herself. Investigators say the mother suffered from Alzheimer's, and that the daughter used a shotgun that belonged to her father, who died several years ago. The home had recently been sold at auction after falling into foreclosure, according to authorities. The names of the victims have yet to be released.
