Stamford restaurants prepare for UBS parade
The excitement is building for one of Stamford's biggest events. The annual UBS Parade Spectacular takes place on Sunday, and generally attracts a crowd of more than 100,000 people, according to organizers.

The excitement is building for one of Stamford's biggest events.
The annual UBS Parade Spectacular takes place on Sunday, and generally attracts a crowd of more than 100,000 people, according to organizers.
Today restaurant owners say they are preparing for the big day, including Brother Jimmy's BBQ.
Brother Jimmy's expects to feed tens of thousands of people in town to watch the UBS Parade Spectacular, one of the country's biggest parades.
The employees at Brother Jimmy's say they are going to have extra staff that day to attend to their customers.
The owners of nearby Remo's Brick Oven Pizza Co. say they usually double their average Sunday business during the parade.
Sandy Goldstein, president of the Stamford Downtown Special Services District, says that an average family can spend $60 during the event, drumming up millions of dollars in revenue for local businesses.
Pre-parade celebrations begin Saturday with a balloon inflation party from 3 to 6 p.m.
