Stamford roadway reopens following 2-car crash

Stamford police say Shippan Avenue reopened after a two-car crash Tuesday afternoon, which caused a pole to fall onto one of the vehicles.

Stamford police say Shippan Avenue reopened after a two-car crash Tuesday afternoon.
Police and firefighters responded to Shippan Avenue between Cummings Park and Magee Avenue.
Police say two people involved suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
Eversource was called to the scene for a damaged pole and there was no major damage to wires.
Authorities determined excessive speed was at fault.
