Stamford police say they tracked down a missing teen who ran from a field trip.
A spokesperson for the Stamford school system says a 14-year-old boy was on a science trip from Dolan Middle School to Mianus Park and ran away at around 11 a.m.
An officer later spotted the child in the woods. Police say he tried to run from them, but they tracked him down.
Investigators say they are not sure why he ran away.
Police say the boy had some cuts and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
