Gloria Blick, born in 1922, is commemorating her 102nd birthday with a special celebration attended by state and local leaders at Capitol Grille.
The event, organized by Gloria's son, gathered guests from around the world to virtually join in congratulating her and sharing in the joyous occasion.
“You know, I am so blessed. You know, who gets to have their mother for the full entire 68 years of their life - and nobody in my family has lived to 102. It's an absolutely incredible experience to have her and to have her completely 'with it' mentally and living on her own -- at the same point," says son Dr. Gary Blick.
Gloria Blick herself shared sentiments of a fulfilling and joyful life, expressing her anticipation for her 103rd birthday celebration, already reserving the restaurant for the occasion next year. She added a special note about her son-in-law sharing the same birthday, making their joint celebration even more memorable.
