Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons received an inside look and listen at a local program using music to make a difference in the lives of Stamford's youth.
Project Music meets five times a week at King School in Stamford.. The program's co-founder says it gives students a great support system, and a chance to succeed.
"For them to see that their hard work pays off and be able to meet people like the mayor here, shows what their doing, if they keep on track - potential. It is an endless feeling to see that happen," said co-founder and music teacher Garrett Mendez.
