Staples High School football team tackled the MURPH fitness challenge in the rain Thursday night at Paul Lane Field.

The event honored the late Lt. Michael Murphy, and raised $50,000 for the Catch a Lift Fund, a nonprofit supporting holistic healing for veterans through fitness.
