A star softball pitcher is back in the circle after a grueling year due to a cancer diagnosis.
Since getting into the University of Bridgeport, Kaite Burawski has been one of the best pitchers in the nation.
Just before her junior season, she was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer.
She started chemotherapy immediately.
Burawski returned to the field in 2024. The cancer has been in remission for a year.
News 12's Justin DeVellis shares how her team supported the star player.
