Former Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton officially has a new job.

The state House just approved him as the next tax commissioner.

This vote doesn't need to go to the Senate.

Gov. Ned Lamont crossed party lines to nominate Boughton for the position.

Lawmakers also approved Angle Quiros to lead the state prison system.
