Democrats looked to pass bills on Monday that were originally vetoed by Gov. Jodi Rell.
Right now, the Democrats have the required two-thirds majority in both houses to override a veto. They say Rell vetoed 19 bills this season, eight of which were brought to the floor on Monday.
Both the Senate and the House overturned the governor?s veto on a bill creating a bi-state Long Island Sound Commission to monitor projects in the Sound. They also overturned a bill making changes to the state's standard wage law.
