Gov. Ned Lamont joined Sen. Richard Blumenthal, Sen. Chris Murphy and Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim to show their appreciation for health care providers.
The group visited Northbridge Health Care Center where they thanked employees for their work during the pandemic and recognized coronavirus patients in recovery.
Murphy and Blumenthal also discussed the Heroes Fund, something Senate Democrats are proposing.
It would provide a $13 an hour raise to front-line workers. It would be retroactive to the state of emergency and run through the end of the year.
