With another hot stretch of days in store, state officials are asking people to take precautions.
Gov. Ned Lamont has activated the state's hot weather protocol.

This is the fourth time this summer the state has used the hot weather protocol system.
It will remain in place through Thursday.
The National Weather Service says that this approaching heat wave may deliver the hottest stretch of weather Connecticut has experienced so far this summer.
The CDC says people should stay in air-conditioned locations as much as they can, drink fluids even when they do not feel thirsty, and take cool showers or baths to cool down.
This week, the state's health commissioner addressed the heat on Power and Politics.
"We really want to avoid heat stroke. We want really people to stay hydrated be watching out for their young kids, making sure that they're not in the sun for too long really thinking about your older and younger folks in your family because those are gonna be the ones that are the most heat sensitive," said Connecticut Department of Public Health Commissioner Manisha Juthani.
The CDC also said it is important to check on friends and neighbors, especially older adults, young children, and people with chronic medical conditions.
