State police say Thanksgiving weekend 2017 was a more dangerous one on the state highways compared to last year.
Troopers responded to 524 accidents between last Tuesday and Sunday night, 130 more than last year.
The number of accidents with injuries was also up with 70 this year compared to 42 in 2016.
There were two fatal accidents, one in Cromwell and one in Killingly.
Troopers issued more than 3,900 tickets during the five-day crackdown period.
