State police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman killed on I-95.
It happened just after 10 p.m. Thursday night on the southbound side of the highway at the edge of the Fairfield rest area.
State police say an SUV being driven by a South Windsor man was in the left lane of the highway when it struck the woman who was apparently trying to cross the road.
Troopers say the woman was not carrying an ID. The highway was closed for more than three hours as police investigated.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police.
