State Rep. J.P. Sredzinski resigned Wednesday to devote more time to his family and his job at Stratford's 911 dispatch center.
"I want to thank the voters of Monroe and Newtown for giving me their confidence in allowing me to serve them for the past six-plus years. Their voices have been my inspiration for every moment of my service and I will always be eternally grateful," he said in his resignation letter to Secretary of the State Denise Merrill.
Sredzinski was recently promoted to head of the dispatch center.
