Stew Leonard's is voluntarily recalling its sliced chicken and chicken salad products because the company says they may contain undeclared milk.
The products were sold at Stew Leonard's deli department between Aug. 2022 and Jan. 29, 2024.
The affected products include:
- Sliced and Shaved Chicken
- Sliced and Shaved Buffalo Chicken
- Chicken Salad
- Chicken Salad Sub Sandwich
- Buffalo Chicken Salad
- Boom Boom Chicken Salad
- Cape Cod Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)
- Lite Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)
The items were sold at seven Stew Leonard's locations, including the Danbury, Norwalk and Newington stores in Connecticut. They were also sold at the East Meadow, Farmingdale and Yonkers locations in New York, as well as the Paramus store in New Jersey.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk could be at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the products. No illnesses have been reported to date.
Customers who have purchased these products should return them to Stew Leonard's customer service for a full refund.
