ALERTS: There is a winter storm warning in effect for western Connecticut due to high-impact snowfall expected.
FORECAST:
The forecast is straightforward — a snowstorm is on the way. The general consensus is 4 to 8 inches of snow overnight after 6 p.m., ending by 6 a.m.
Snowfall totals could be higher in a snow band likely to develop over Fairfield County later in the evening. The worst of the storm is expected between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m.
