NEW: The first shot at rain comes our way Tuesday morning. This will impact commuters; It won't last very long but there could be a burst of moderate rain from about 7 a.m. through just before noon. Roughly a quarter to just under a half inch should fall. The rest of the day is dry, breezy but mild. High temperatures will climb into the middle 50s for the afternoon. This will feel nice because the rest of the week will be colder.
NEXT: Wednesday will be nice and seasonable with a high temperature of 50 degrees. If this is your travel day, then the weather will cooperate. It will not cooperate on Thursday for Thanksgiving. This storm will last longer and produce more rain. Anywhere from a half inch to 3/4 of an inch of rain will fall in Western Connecticut. This is more much-needed rain, but roads will be wet from the morning and into the afternoon at least. The storm passing to our south looks weaker and farther away. On this path, a cool rain will fall. Any snow that does fall will be confined to the highest elevations in Litchfield County. At this point, it doesn't look like it will be very widespread, but if you are traveling north, slippery roads could be an issue. It will be windy and colder over the weekend.
