Today was another day where temperatures climbed just above freezing. Watch out for more refreezing tonight from anything that melted, as temperatures will fall back into the teens.
The winds won't be too much of a problem in the short term, but the weather will turn bitterly cold again in just a few days.
A quick-moving Alberta Clipper will deliver a little bit of snow late Friday and early Saturday before an Arctic blast of air hits us again on Saturday. Temperatures will tumble with winds gusting 30-45 mph. These winds will create dangerously cold wind chills of 15 to 20+ degrees below zero Saturday night through early Sunday. Please remember to protect your pets and pipes.
The snow may total 1-2 inches due to the very cold temperatures and fluff factor. It may also cause things to be slippery on Saturday morning.
Temperatures will gradually return to the 30s, but that won't happen until later next week.
