A groundbreaking ceremony was held today for a project to widen I-95 in Norwalk.
Gov. Dannel Malloy was on hand for the ceremony.
The main part of the project creates an extra lane on a half-mile stretch of I-95. The project also calls for two new ramps, a new turn lane, a new light, curbs and sidewalks, and replacements for three overpasses in the area.
Construction is expected to last until 2015.
