Police: Man dies from injuries resulting from fight in Stamford

A man who was found on the sidewalk in Stamford last week with a head injury died Tuesday, according to police.

Officials say a heated argument ensued between several people on Sept. 5 on Alden Street near Stillwater Avenue.

The victim, 43-year-old Leobardo Quintero, was pushed to the ground where he struck his head, according to authorities. They say Quintero was visiting from Mexico.

The medical examiner said Quintero died as a result of blunt impact injury of the head.

Police are investigating the incident as a homicide. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
