Officials in Greenwich say up to a dozen homes were hit by trees as Isaias slammed its way through the area.
Crews were able to clear most of the major roadways quickly, but had a tougher time getting through all the residential areas.
In Millbrook, sidestreets were covered with branches and leaves. One tree went right through the garage of a married couple who had just moved to Connecticut last month.
Another tree fell right between two houses.
"Really lucky that it didn't destroy my neighbor's house, nor my house or the neighbors," says Anja Vaisanen. "So we are good. We are safe. We just have some yardwork to do."
Officials in Greenwich declared a state of emergency in order for crews to deal with the damage.
