The mother of a Stratford High School student has taken her daughter out of school due to what she's calling excessive bullying.
Connie Johnson's daughter, Keyaira, says the intimidation began with threatening messages sent over the Internet, which she and her mother documented and reported to police. However, she says physical threats quickly followed.
Keyaira began taking classes in Stratford earlier this month after transferring from a different district. Her mother says school officials have not acted properly despite her complaints.
Officials did not return News 12 Connecticut's calls for comment, but Johnson says she'd let her daughter return if she can track down the alleged bullies' parents to discuss the problem.
