Hundreds of parents turned out to a meeting in Stratford Wednesday night on the fate of dozens of teachers and a proposal that their children may have to change schools.
As News 12 has reported, almost 60 teachers were notified this week that they may not have jobs next year. In an effort to save money and retain the teachers, a proposal would save the district money by altering its busing -- potentially resulting in school switches for hundreds of students.
And the proposal would turn the Stratford Academy Magnet School into a regular neighborhood school.
The goal is to save $750,000.
There are two more public information sessions planned for next week.
