Gov. Dannel Malloy has announced the state is spending $15 million to jump start nearly a dozen transportation projects in Connecticut.
According to the governor’s office, Stratford will receive $425,000 for pedestrian and bike safety improvements on Main Street.
Norwalk will receive $125,000 to study ways to improve the area around the East Norwalk Train Station.
"Our lack of investment in transportation is hurting the state,” says Malloy.
The grants are part of the state's Responsible Growth and Transit-Oriented Development Grant Program.
