Part of Claudia Drive in Stratford was restricted to the public this morning while police responded to a mental health crisis.

Police were at the location since around 11:15 a.m.

They say the Special Response Team was also on scene, and there is no threat to the public.

Around 3:30 p.m., police began letting residents back into the area.

Sal Goud, the owner of Di Roma's Pizzeria right across the street, said it all began with sirens late this morning.

"The time passes, the cops keep coming in and out and, then they blocked the roads, and then they stopped letting people go in and out,” said Goud. “At some point, there were 20 cops; they closed the roads on all four sides. It's like a really nice neighborhood. We've been here for a long time, but this looks really bad."
