Metro-North trains on the New Haven Line were delayed through Thursday afternoon because the Devon Rail Bridge in Milford got stuck in the open position Wednesday, officials say.
Officials say that while workers got the broken side of the bridge closed at around 1:30 p.m., they cannot restore full service until they've completed safety tests.
Workers were still in the process of repairing the northern side of the bridge Thursday evening.
The two tracks will be out of service through at least the end of the weekend.
