Students from the Stephen McSweeney School for those with special needs performed in a musical show, some for the last time before moving on to work study programs in the Bronx.
The students performed in the school's musical Friday, which had a "trendsetters" theme. Performers picked songs from artists who have brought about change or have made a difference through music and art in their own right.
The entire student body of more than 50 students took part in the event, either by performing of just being a part of the audience.
For 11 seniors, it will be the last time they perform at the high school. They will be entering a work program to learn a trade or skill.
Students, teachers and administrators say they are already excited about planning next year's performance. They say they are considering a tap musical.
