Connecticut has ranked last when it comes to renter-friendly states, according to a new study.
The Consumer Affairs study considered cost, availability, and security of renting across all 50 states.
Connecticut ranked last as the worst state for renters overall.
The worst states for housing vacancy rates are Oregon at 50, Washington at 49, and Connecticut at 48.
States with the lowest number of new housing construction per capita are Connecticut at 50, Rhode Island at 49, and Illinois at 48.
According to the study, the best states for renters are South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.
