The players at Baseball World Training School in Westport are out in the summer heat perfecting their game, but they are also taking precautions to make sure to cool off.
"You need to take precautions. Some of the things that I'm doing is giving them a lot of breaks, encouraging them to drink even though they don't want to drink," Coach Vince Diaco says.
Diaco says he encourages the boys to play to their personal best, which means taking care of their bodies and taking plenty of water breaks.
"You got to be vigilant and check in with the players," Diaco says.
Diaco says the boys also have a modified schedule during hot days, so they spend some time inside studying the game.
