A new program at Wings Academy is helping Bronx teens find jobs this summer.
The "Summer Youth" program gives teenagers and young adults from ages 14 to 24 an opportunity to enter the workforce, teaching them skills to succeed at their first job and more.
"It's very constructive that these young people are learning these professional skills at their age. Most of them are teenagers, so it's great they learn these skills while they are young," says Jayvon Harper, an administrative assistant for workforce development.
The program received a $38.5 million budget and intends to employ 60,000 young people citywide by the end of the summer.
