Local school systems are getting ready to end the school year virtually, but many are wondering what the future holds.
Dr. Thomas McMorran is superintendent of Easton and Redding public schools. He is getting ready to retire. He says many school systems have done all they can during the pandemic.
McMorran says all local school districts are dealing with the safety of everyone and funding going forward is going to be an issue.
The superintendent says going forward, schedules may be staggered and more space will be made available to students.
He says the future of how and where teachers educate students may still be unclear, but will be manageable.
"Look back over our history. We always come out in a better place," McMorran said.
