Halloween is right around the corner and Candystore.com compiled data nationwide to determine the most popular candy in each state.

Data shows that the most purchased candy in Connecticut is the Almond Joy followed by Milky Way and M&Ms.

The survey also shows that people across the state purchased more than 3,000 pounds of Almond Joy.

Nationwide, the number one spot went to Reese's peanut butter cups followed by M&Ms and Hot Tamales.

Candy corn made its way back into the top 10.

The National Retail Federation says Americans are expected to spend $3.6 billion on Halloween candy this year.
