Officials say two workers are recovering at the Bridgeport Hospital burn unit following a flash fire in a tanker at the Waterbury-Oxford Airport.
State police say contractors were grinding and welding inside a fuel tanker Sunday around 11:30 a.m. when the tanker exploded.
A hospital spokesman said both men were in serious but stable condition.
The fire is under investigation.
