Teamster's President Jim Hoffa Jr. addressed the union at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford Thursday as the strike hit its 18th day. More than 2,000 union members from Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York rallied outside Sikorsky Aircraft to show their support for Local 1150 and see Hoffa. Since the strike started, dozens of members have crossed the picket line and gone back to work. Hoffa fired up union members telling them that they walked out of Sikorsky together and they?ll walk back in together. Strikers have been picketing against Sikorsky for three weeks and the company remains firm on the issue of increasing employees? payments for health insurance.
