Love movies but hate the crowds. Smart projectors could be a smart choice for a theater like experience in the comfort of your own home Eric Landskrona with Tech tech back here with John Velasco, senior editor over at times, Guy John. All right. Last time we spoke about the screens. Let's talk about the projectors now starting and we've got a great array here. Different price points. This is the ex Jimmy Horizon ultra four K 2300 ISOL, there's ISOL anil lens. Uh This one's really impressive. It's a dual light source. So it's a laser and led. I was really blown away watching the Super Bowl at this one. Yeah. No, it's, it's a great setup for everyday use. If you have your family there got nice wide viewing angle farm and garden speakers. Exactly surround set up there. So it's a package all in one, you have your inputs as well. And I want to point out that once again we're using the vivid storm S 3D A LR motorized tension floor rising screen here. It's uh it's a mouthful, but that's what we're showing you. The is on right now. If you want something a little bit cheaper, a little bit more affordable. There's this one here, the Moga Pro two and the Moga Pro Two is actually a nice portable set up. It's 599. You still get up to 200 inch projection. It's Android TV. And the best part is it fits in tinier spaces and these are broad. I just want to point out this is also Android TV. On the horizon. Ultra and still fairly portable. But it's, it's got a little more heft to it. Yeah. And another cool feature Jimmy does well is the obstacle avoidance. So if something is in the way the picture will automatically move same thing with, with the nebulas. Uh So the nebula which is made by Anchor, this one's a nebula Cosmos laser four K. Uh and, and that one's actually been around for a while. But again, this one's cool because even though it's bigger, it's got the handle on top. So it's good to take outside. Uh and also amazingly bright. This one's 2200 anti lumens, a great color with the, with the laser on that one. And you said 24 K, 4 K is still hard to find a lot of portable projectors. And these are both four K. I just want to point out that, that the bigger X Jimmy here, the Horizon ultra is four K too. Yeah. So if you need that resolution, that's great. But as an alternative, there's also the Nebula capsule three. And it's the most portable selection out of the bunch here just because it's like basically the size of a, a Coke can. And this is an inexpensive $549 projector. It's also Bluetooth speaker. It's great for kids. Uh, especially if you have kids in school, college dorm rooms. It takes up minimal space. It acts as a secondary display. So, not only for TV, but when they want to connect their laptops, their phones, they can do with that. Let's talk about the that you brought here. Yeah, the Epson one is also just a general, you know, all around great projector at home. It's, it's 1080 P but it does have a sound by Yamaha. So you get that surround sound experience. The big boy on the table. This is from Hisense. Talk about this. Yeah, this is the Hisense L nine G. This is a short throw laser projector and it's one again four K resolution. But the back short throw is that unlike traditional projectors, we gotta have it farther back. This one is directly underneath the screen and like we said earlier, it uses a special type of screen. So you're gonna get that optimized brightness, it works with it. Um It's Android TV, and it's also the brightest out of the bunch here as far as brightness output is concerned here.
