Police have taken two teenagers into custody for allegedly terrorizing a neighborhood with a string of robberies.
The boys were arrested Tuesday morning after police say they were caught in the act by one of their victims. The names of the two individuals are not being released since they are juveniles. Investigators are crediting the victim, who also wishes to remain anonymous, with helping to identify the suspects.
?I saw one guy trying to open my neighbor's car and the other guy was in my wife's car,? says the man. ?I saw that and started banging on the window. Then, they ran away.?
The man followed the pair and alerted police after witnessing the suspected car theft attempt. Police believe the culprits recently broke into at least one other house and stole two cars on Leatherwood Drive.
Authorities do not believe the boys acted alone and are searching for additional suspects. More arrests are expected before the week?s end.
?We believe we have the finger on the pulse in this case,? says Norwalk Police Sgt. Andre Velez.
