Teens across southwestern CT put down their forks and knives for a cause

More than 100 teenage students from across southwestern Connecticut are fasting to raise awareness about world hunger. The group?s last meal was at 5 a.m. Saturday and they will not eat again until Sunday at noon. The teens, who are fasting for 30 hours at St. Philip's Church in Norwalk, are raising money for starving children in Africa. To pass time and stay distracted, the students had a fashion show and did arts and crafts. The students say they are motivated by the fact that for every hour they don't eat, the money they've raised from sponsors will help starving children.
