The Norwich Police Department says two 19-year-olds were arrested in Connecticut in connection to the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old in Kingsbridge.

Zion Martinez, of The Bronx, and Anthony Caballero, of Florida, are accused of firing multiple rounds on Feb. 11 near a McDonald's on Broadway, fatally striking Christopher Redding and injuring two other teens.

A 17-year-old boy was previously taken into custody and charged with murder.

Norwich police arrested Martinez on March 4 for possession of a controlled substance. They contacted the NYPD and discovered there was an active warrant for Martinez’s arrest in connection to the shooting.

Caballero was taken into custody on Friday following a “large-scale arrest operation” involving “multiple law enforcement agencies” and charged with fugitive of justice and interfering with an officer, Norwich police say.

News 12 spoke to Redding’s family who say he was a good kid who loved football and had a promising future.

Martinez is being held on a $550,000 bond and Caballero on a $1 million bond.

The NYPD has not released the teens' charges in regard to the shooting as of Friday evening.
