Temps drop to 40s overnight; sunny and mild Saturday ahead
Update from the Tropics: Tropical depression 9 has formed and will most likely become 'Hermine.' Current models show that the storm may impact Florida around Tuesday of next week. There is a chance remnants could affect the tri-state area next weekend. However, it is very early and much could change. Fall weather is making its way through New Jersey, with temperatures cooler than the state has seen in a while.
Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Dave Curren says Saturday is looking pleasant, but he is tracking potential rain for Sunday.
WHAT’S NEXT: Mixed bag of a weekend. Sunny Saturday ahead, with rain for Sunday. Ocean conditions are expected to be rough. Good for surfing but potentially dangerous for swimming.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny skies with daytime highs around 73 degrees. Overnight lows around 46 degrees.
SUNDAY: Warmer, with daytime highs around 77 degrees. Potential for rain and thunderstorms Sunday evening into the nighttime hours. Overnight lows in the mid-50s.
MONDAY: Mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the mid-70s. Overnight lows around 59.
COMING UP: Rest of the week is expected to be quiet with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures expected to be in the low-70s and upper-60s. Tropical depression 9 could impact weather late next week.
