Two Fairfield authors have released a new book just in time for the holidays.

Luther Blackwell and Bill Schiebe say "The Making of Santa's Team" continues the timeless tale of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

The men say the book, about Rudolph's son, "Rudy," is a great way to encourage kids to read.

"That's very special: The gift of reading, because you're increasing someone's knowledge, you're increasing their abilities -- and what else can you do for somebody that's better than that?" Schiebe says.

"And it's teaching kids about striving for your dreams, working hard, and also teamwork," Blackwell adds.
