The Pantry in Fairfield says it is ready to reopen after a fire.
There is a sign at the door of the store that says it's been closed due to a small fire. The owners of the Pantry say the gas got turned back on Friday morning.
They were cleaning the store Friday to have it ready to reopen Saturday at 8 a.m.
The owners say the right side of their building caught fire Monday when crews working on an adjacent parking lot accidentally torched the wall.
They say the fire traveled up into the ceiling before it was put out. The store says it lost tens of thousands of dollars in food.
They are grateful to the community for all their support in this difficult time.
An insurance adjuster was at the store Friday to assess the damages.
